Due to the nature of the Munich GeoCenter its members and “jurisdiction” fall under two faculties: LMU Fakultät 20 für Geowissenschaften (here the Department for Earth and Environmental Sciences) and TUM Ingenieurfakultät Bau Geo Umwelt.
